Subject: RE: [Cpqarray-discuss] Configuring Array Controller under Linux The old SmartStart CD I had didn't have that as an option. I had 4 floppy disks for the ACU and the README file there indicated that it must be run from NT4.x which is why I had that idea. I got a SmartStart CD revision 2.14 and after some messing around to get it to work, I got it working and ran the ACU from that and configured the arrays. Thanks guys. It's feels great to get something working again. -Brian -----Original Message----- From: White, Charles [mailto:Cha...@co...] Sent: Thursday, June 21, 2001 4:45 PM To: 'br...@te...'; cpq...@op... You can boot your Smart Smart CD that came with your system or the array controller and run the ACU (Array Configuration Utility) straight off the CD. -----Original Message----- From: br...@te... Subject: [Cpqarray-discuss] Configuring Array Controller under Linux I have a ProLiant 1500 with a Smart 2/P controller, and the hard drives have been wiped out. Is there anyway to configure the array controller under Linux, or do I need to install Win NT 4.0 to configure the array and then wipe that out and install Linux? I'd appreciate it if you could reply via e-mail to brdall (at) mediaone.net Thanks, -Brian _______________________________________________ Cpqarray-discuss mailing list Cpq...@op... http://www.opensource.compaq.com/mailman/listinfo/cpqarray-discuss _______________________________________________ Cpqarray-discuss mailing list Cpq...@op... http://www.opensource.compaq.com/mailman/listinfo/cpqarray-discuss |
