		The old SmartStart CD I had didn't have that as an option.
		I had 4 floppy disks for the ACU and the README file there
indicated
		that it must be run from NT4.x which is why I had that idea.

		I got a SmartStart CD revision 2.14 and after some messing
around to get
		it to work, I got it working and ran the ACU from that and
configured the
		arrays.

again.

		There is no way to configure the array under linux
currently, but you don't
		have to install NT either.

		You can boot your Smart Smart CD that came with your system
or the array
		controller and run the ACU (Array Configuration Utility)
straight off the
		CD.

			I have a ProLiant 1500 with a Smart 2/P controller,
and the hard drives

			been wiped out.  Is there anyway to configure the
array controller under
		Linux,
			or do I need to install Win NT 4.0 to configure the
array and then wipe
		that
			out and install Linux?
