I feel stupid. So stupid... I've been wondering for a while why the ML traffic has died down. I just realised that I've somehow been unsubscribed from the ML! It somehow never occured to me to check the ML web archive before today :-( Anyway I'm back on the ML. To whom it may concern: I tried to stop this message, and I am not sure if I succeeded so... Would it be possible to include with the distribution a makefile that can be built with NMAKE and MSVC? I do not have MSVC proper, but I have NMAKE (downloaded from the Microsoft Knowledge Base), the free MSVC++ Toolkit 2003, and the Platform SDK, which I have used to successfully build another project (GhostPCL). I built cppunit using Mingw and MSYS, but that simply lest you do ./configure and make on Windows, and it seems that the GUI stuff was not built. Regards, John. |

Perhaps the the project admin/ developers listed on the sourceforge page have no time at the moment to further develop the project? I'm only a lonely user of cppunit :-) (and have unfortunally little time at the moment to help with the development). Best regards, Henning |

When using the CompilerOutputter class, how does a developer send the error messages to the .NET output window? Hi, I am keep wondering why does TestCase inherit TestFixture ? Is TestCase a kind of TestFixture ? Since TestFixture is used for a set of test cases while TestCase is used for just ONE test case. So are they related by inheritance ? Can anyone cast a light on it ? Thank you very much. Qiulang |

Hi there I've been using CppUnit happily for a while now but I have been a bit frustrated by one particular lack for which I haven't been able to come with a workaround. What I would like to be able to do is to set up a vector or array containing sets of numerical values, and then pass each set of values to a test method. At present, I do this using a for loop inside a TestMethod. This has the disadvantage that CPPUNIT_FAIL will cause remaining tests not to be executed. So although it picks up failures fine, it gives no indication of the spread of the errors throughout the array. What I thought might be the correct solution was to extend the TestCaller class. I thought about having TestCallerIndexed, and adding a TestCaller::runTest(int index) method that would somehow pass an integer value to the TestMethod assigned to the TestFixture. But then I thought that this probably wouldn't work - because the TestMethod prototype would have changed, so it wouldn't be possible to assign it to the TestFixture. Has anyone else had similar problems, and worked out a nice solution that they would care to share? I've also posted this on the sf.net forums for CppUnit. Cheers JP http://pye.dyndns.org/ |
