[Cppunit-devel] Help regarding Unit Test

Hi,
    I have developed some mathematical functions which
is both compatible to C/ C++ and are running under
Linux machine. I have not written the assertion macros
in the .C files. 

    Now my question is :

     1. Is is possible to pass the source file (.c/
.cpp) as a parameter to any standard function/ command
of CppUnit s/w for the testing without adding the
macros and classes to the .c/ .cpp file ? 
     If yes, kindly suggest me the way.

     An earlier mail would help me a lot. 
     
     Hope for a positive response.

The final release of mockpp is available.

mockpp is a platform independent generic unit testing framework for C++. It=

goal is to facilitate developing unit tests in the spirit of=20
Mock Objects (http://www.mockobjects.com) and EasyMock=20
(http://www.easymock.org).

Mockpp has no own testing framework. So CppUnit (http://cppunit.sf.net) is=
=20
recommended.

The main development platform of mockpp is Linux. But it is intended to be=

platform independent and a port to Borland BCB is already in work.=20

Contributions, ports to other platforms and comments are highly welcome.

I meant at one time I comment out only one of the setOutputters,so that
the output is of that particular format.

[Cppunit-devel] Testing as per user constraints

Hey Gang
First post here :)
I would like to know that whether there is anyway in which I can control the
tests as per time spend or as per success of previous tests.

Requirement #1
Ideally what I want is that suppose 10 of last 15 tests have failed, so the
framework should stop testing at this point. The condition should be able to
be specified by user at compile time using some scripts.

Requirement #2
Also suppose I want to stop testing after 10 minutes.What is the provision
for that?

I understand that readymade receipes may not exist for these things and I am
ready to get my hand dirty with code if you could give me a lead.

OK. I tried to connect, using  TortoiseCVS to get the current version but
can't connect. It is the first time I give it a try.
I have made this attempt for several days hoping for some temporary problem,
but maybe there are some other problem on the way like firewalls(??) at my

Using

I'm using TestResult::pushProtector(), but how can I use the testResult

I just found out that, since TextTestRunner::run() returns bool and
TestRunner::run() returns void, this is not the right thing to do.

Can you help me out, please?  How can I use a TextTestRunner with a
custom Protector?

[Cppunit-devel] Exception handler

In our project, we typically inherit from one of our base exception
types.  It would be nice to be able to register with CppUnit an
exception handler that would call a method on our exception.

I've looked through the source and it doesn't look like this is possible
currently.  Can this be put on the TODO list, please?  (I'll see if I
can work on it if I get some free time).

Oh wait...  I think that only works with current CVS, not 1.8.0.

Correct.  I was trying to stay as close to the cookbook as possible. 
See attachment for my real testrunner.cc.  It also adds the feature
of passing a command line param to run a single test suite or 
single unit. 

./testrunner TestSuiteName
  or 
./testrunner TestSuiteName::UnitTestName

It took some time to get a correct install; my debian version did not link.
I had to compile the sources.
So, I'm of in creating more testunits!


btw; your testrunner:

0 is the 'success' return state of main.
So I believe it should be
    if(wasSucessful) return 0;
    return -1;
