Hi there, I would like to voice my request for automatic detection of the correct compiler output when using gcc under Xcode on Mac OS X The compiler can be detected with the following preprocessor directive: #if defined(__GNUC__) && ( defined(__APPLE_CPP__) || defined(__APPLE_CC__) ) In order to fully integrate into the Xcode build process the following format should then be used - notice the space after the last colon: "%p:%l: " This small change would make CppUnit even better. Hi, am evaluating CppUnit as a Unit testing tool for our dev Environs. The help and samples provided online are excellent .. Thank You On a console app things are running like a dream. Am having a little bit of trouble trying to integrate the examples into a MFC Dialog app though . Upon execution of the the Test Suite I can see the appropriate tests being called. Have set up one each to fail and pass and this they do correctly. Only am unable to see any output from their execution while running with or without breakpoints. Am looking for it in the output window of my Ms Dev Studio 7.1. Pls Suggest. Thanks a Lot Rajneesh |

Hi all,
in the CppUnit Cookbook, there seems to be an error in the last example:

In the documentation you mention, "...the application must returns a
value different than 0 to indicate that there was an error". As the name
"wasSuccessful" implies being true, iff the tests ran correctly, main()
will return a value different to 0 on _success_, which contradicts the
documentation. So either the documentation is wrong, or (more probable)
main has to return !wasSuccessful.

I got this forwarded to me from a friend of mine, thought you might want to see it. http://www.updatehotline.com/ref44.html You can file share dvd's, video games & music. Ive downloaded 7 dvd's so far. You should see how many they have in there - its crazy. They walk you through the entire process of burning them to CD. Upon going over the movie section, you know how I like movies, they have stuff in here still in theates you can download and play on your DVD player - it's nuts. I had found at least 94 CD's on there that I wanted. You have to see these guys' collection - it's wild. They show you how to burn em to CD and everything. Hi, I have some queries related to CPPUnit. I want to create a COM DLL that will use CPPUnit DLL. This COM Dll will be having all the test cases. And the client of this COM DLL will call appropriate functions in this to execute desired test cases. And I will be using XMLOutputter for results. I want to know, is this feasible ? Hi there, I have downloaded CppUnit source files (version 1.9.14) and tried to configure for VxWorks. I am getting un-resolved symbols at linking CppUnit with my application, which I want to test. The un-resolved symbols are coming for the templates used in the CppUnit. How should I solve this problem. thanks, Ch. A. S. V. Hi, in the INSTALL-WIN32.txt it is written: > At the current time, the only supported WIN32 platform is > Microsoft Visual C++. You must have VC++ 6.0 at least. But CppUnit seems to work fine with Borland C++ Builder 6, too. Simply create a new (static) library-project, add all the cpp-files from "src\cppunit" to the project, add the "include" subdirectory to the projects include path and the library is ready for action. It may be that the library page size has to be incremented in "Project-Options-TLib" beacause the library gets pretty big, but no further modifications to the source code are neccessary. Just thought you might be interested in knowing that other compilers than VC++ work well with CppUnit. I used version 1.10.2. Regards, Steffen Rauh |

Hi, I am trying out cppunit 1.9.x downloaded from sourceforge and have "intermittently" gotten the error message from CppUnit saying "uncaught exception of unknown type". I don't know what unknown types are being complained about because I didn't get any errors during compilation. If you need more information about my program, please email me back.
