Has anyone configured cppUnit to build in LynxOS?

I run ./configure -prefix="path to install" --disable-shared...after entering the LynxOS environment and

checking for a BSD-compatible install... /usr/lynx/4.0.0/x86/cdk/linux-elf-x86/bin/install -c
checking whether build environment is sane... yes
checking for gawk... gawk
checking whether make sets $(MAKE)... yes
checking whether make sets $(MAKE)... (cached) yes

checking for gcc... gcc
checking for C compiler default output file name... a.out

If you meant to cross compile, use `--host'.
See `config.log' for more details.

Any ideas?
