It is certainly not expected!
I have never installed nor used cppblog, so I won't be able to help you much.
However, the symptom you describe point to some infinite loop. The application 
crashes when it runs out of memory.
I guess it's up to you to debug the application and report back here, for the 
benefit of other users who might encounter a similar problem.
