[Cppcms-users] Reconfirm Subscription

Hi there,

I received plenty of mails from sourceforge that i should reconfirm my
subscription to various mailinglists...
Is this a real thing of scam? Also, does anybody know why they want that?

Hello,

I also got these kind of e-mails. Mines were legit, and I confirmed my 
subscription on Sourceforge.

I don't have authorative answer, but my guess is; they might be trying 
to eliminate old/unused mails from their databases.

Hi,

I got one email to ask me to confirm my subscription to the sourceforge. I haven't answered it as I thought it was a fake email to collect email lists and infect email boxes with spam. I still get emails from the sourceforge. I suspect this is scam and that unless one wants to be flooded with spam emails, one should not send a confirmation.

I got the same from sourceforge from several lists I participate in.
Since it follows normal sourceforge address and accesses a normal SF
interface I assume it isn't a scam.
