Hi Everyone, I've saved whatever I've been able to come up with in http://cpp-netlib.wiki.sourceforge.net/Architectural+Documentation -- I'd like for us to, among ourselves be able to get on the same page as far as the architecture goes. We can discuss it in the Wiki (there's a discuss link at the relative top of the Wiki page), or here. I'm open to discussing the architecture before writing out the rest of the Message Layer docs, because that would be more on performance guarantees and other concepts (like InputIterator adaptation, OutputIterator adaptation, etc.) which would be required if we're to make this message type STL and Boost friendly. I've pretty much patterned this to a message type implementation I've done in another (not yet open source) project which I headed as part of http://software.orangeandbronze.com/ (pardon the shameless plug, my partners there are pretty much the ones encouraging me to do this). I'd like to know what you think, and whether you'd have any questions at this point in time so that we can discuss them early on in the development process. Thank you very much, and I hope to hear your thoughts soon! -- Dean Michael C. Berris http://cplusplus-soup.blogspot.com/ mikhailberis AT gmail DOT com +63 928 7291459 |
