Just tried running the cpanel proxy auto installer
and got the following response:
---------
Connecting to dedi3...
Success
Could not install.
If there is any problem with this auto installer,
please email me, and please include all above text.

So, copied you with the resulting text as instructed.
I'm fairly new to this game, so pardon my ignorance.
I'm running a small home network (3 PCs) over an ADSL
link (currently 2Mb). I have a combined modem and
wireless router, the router incorporates a firewall.
This has three predefined levels of security which
allow specified ports, in and out traffic as
appropriate. The instructions indicate that if a port
number does not appear on the listings it will be
blocked ( and 2082 is not there !) There is
supposedly a mechanism for defining traffic through
additional ports. This requires setting local and
remote IP addresses and netmasks and port nos and
traffic direction. I've tried experimenting with
various settings with no success. Also, I've had a go
at the hardware suppliers (BT) but they seem to know
less than I do.
AT the moment the only way I can access cpanel is to
turn off my firewall, when I can connect. Of course
you will understand that I don't like doing this at
certainly for only a few minutes at a time. So if you
can offer any way forward I would be very grateful.
