It is absolutely necessary that cPanel Proxy can work through HTTPS connections.

When regular HTTP is being used all passwords, including root password of the entire server when using WHM, are sent in clear text. This is totally unacceptable as the passwords could be intercepted, and the server could be compromised.

You should try the new version of cPanel Proxy that I uploaded under patch #1609901. It is located in Patches area, here is the link to it: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1609901&group_id=163755&atid=828997

It allows you to install cPanel Proxy without using subdomains. Installation procedure is very simple. All you need to do is create a directory in your public_html named proxy, i.e. /home/username/public_html/proxy, and copy all the files in the package into it. Once it is done, you can access cPanel services using the following URLs.

    WHM: ttp://www.domain.com/proxy/whm/
    cPanel: http://www.domain.com/proxy/cpanel/
    Webmail: http://www.domain.com/proxy/webmail/

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to e-mail me.
