Attention: Mac Users

For those of you using Mac OSX, this is an update of the current status of the KU Course Scheduler.

The new deployment mechanism for the Scheduler is Java Web Start.

Prior to "installing" the Scheduler you must follow the below steps to assure that you can run the Scheduler properly.

1. Using the OSX Software update, install the latest version of Java (minimum 1.6.0, recommended 1.6.11).

Note: Currently Apple has only released Java 6 for Mac users running OSX 10.5.1+ on 64-bit Intel Macs. For those of you running a version of OSX that does not support Java 6, at this point you will not be able to run the Scheduler (you have my apology, Java 6 IS required as some necessary classes do not exist prior to 1.6)

2. Change the default version of Java to 6 via the Java Preferences.

3. Now you can "install" the Scheduler by downloading and running the Scheduler.jnlp file from the current release.

If you have any trouble with this procedure and you are running a support version of OSX, please contact me immediately.

Thank you for your continued use of the Scheduler!
