Java 6 Update 13

Kettering Students!!

As you may know, with the release of Java 6 Update 13 there are many enhancements in the performance of the Java Virtual Machine. Additionally, there is support for 64-bit Web Start, the technology that powers the Course Scheduler. I have done modest testing with Update 13 on both 32 bit and 64 bit Web Start, however I am looking for assistance in testing the Scheduler against the latest update on a large scale for both 32 bit and 64 bit platforms. If you are interested in assisting the Kettering Community, please contact me at kuscheduler@gmail.com for details.... read more

Attention: Small bug in current version

The Scheduler currently selects "Spring 2010" for the current scheduling term on startup when it clearly should be automatically selecting "Spring 2009". I apologize for the inconvenience, this error is corrected in the next release. Until the next version is released, when prompted to download "Spring 2010" select "No" and then use the File -> Choose Term dialog to select "Spring 2009" and then download the course information.

Linux Users: OpenJDK vs. Sun JVM

For anyone who is currently running the Scheduler on Linux,

During my testing I have noticed some discrepancies with the Linux JVMs and am looking for your feedback. To help the KU Scheduler project with this, email your system specs, the current JVM version you are using, and your perception of the performance/reliability of the Scheduler under Linux.
