Every time I try to start cone I get the following error: ERROR: Your display appears to be set to the ANSI_X3.4-1968 character set. This application cannot display this character set. If this application did not read the display character set name correctly, the name of the display's character set name can be manually specified using the CHARSET environment variable. Otherwise reconfigure your display to use a supported character set and try again. I've never actually come across this problems in my years of using Linux and I've never gone out of my way to set my charset to ANSI_X3.4-1968. Could someone possibly enlighten me as to how to change my charset and which value would be appropriate? Some background on my setup: RedHat 8, all updates installed. I built the ncurses library myself from the source rpm from the cone website and then went about building the cone rpms. Everything installed without complaint and then I typed cone at the command line and got the above error.
