Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Pointer shape Initial Comment: Hi, I'm running Chicken of the VNC to a MAC with OSXvnc server. I seems thatChicken can only show 2 mouse pointer. The regular one, and a dot when the mouse pointer has a different shape : beachball / Or Filemaker's command + dot symbol. Any chance to have on the client the same pointer shape as on the server ? Sometimes it's difficult to determine the state of an appliactaion running on the server because of this (filemaker in my case) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Jeff Birac (jbirac) Date: 2008-08-22 12:12 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=2189094 Originator: NO I'm trying to figure this out. It seems that CotVNC needs to enable a "pseudo-encoding" called "rfbEncodingRichCursor" (or something related) and handle the corresponding messages sent by the server. This idea comes from looking at CotVNC code, OSXvnc code, and the RFB Protol specification for a few hours (for the first time). I hope I can figure this out. Does anybody know how to enable new encodings on CotVNC? p.s., I would also like to enable the encoding that updates the pointer, but that may be redundant with the Rich Cursor encoding enabled. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=507162&aid=1739346&group_id=64347 |
