Feature Requests item #671321, was opened at 2003-01-20 13:42 You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=507162&aid=671321&group_id=64347 Category: Interface Improvements Group: Next Minor Release Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Tormod Volden (tormod) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: disable 2nd and 3rd button toggle Initial Comment: It seems like there is a feature to emulate a 3 button mouse by press-and-release Shift (or Ctrl) then click. The cursor gets a little "2" (or "3") flag to tell it is toggled. This is certainly useful for one-button mice, but really annoying when you have a real 3 button mouse and don't need emulation. I would like to see a way to turn it off. Thanks, Tormod ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Derek Beatty (dbeatty) Date: 2003-03-10 21:53 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=689477 Maybe it could be controlled by whether or not a 3-button mouse is connected? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2003-01-31 17:11 Message: Logged In: NO seconded... would be very nice to be able to turn this off. thanks, rob ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Jeff Stearns (jeffstearns) Date: 2003-01-24 01:03 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=660929 I strongly second this motion. I have a three-button mouse. They're quite common these days. My cursor constantly gets the little "2" or "3" flag. This is much more than a cosmetic problem. It changes the semantics of a mouse press. I must find the cursor and look at it before I press the left button on the mouse, because the "2" or ''3" might be present, thus changing my left button press into a middle-button or right-button press. The difference can be huge! I'd love to be able to use the mouse without fear that the button I'm pressing isn't the button that's getting sent to the server. thanks! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Jason Harris (smeger) Date: 2003-01-23 15:10 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=351330 Good call.
