I'm logged in to my grandmother's Mac to update her OS. When it asks
for my password, it says the shift key is on. *MY* shift key isn't
on, but I guess the keyboard at her house has it on. I can't type
any lower case letters.
Are key modifiers "anded"? I.e., if my grandmother holds down the
shift key and I hit "a" will I get "A"? Or is this a peculiarity of
Apple's "get password" dialog box?
