Another thing, I kept in my backhead for a while: For an increase
in drawing performance, I wonder if one could somehow leverage
the work of some great X-Server implementation on Mac OS X (is
Apple's open-sourced?) to get a better mapping of the underlying
drawing model to the natve drawing, like they already did with the
X-server impelemntations. As far as I understood VNC's drawing
modell is a lot X-oriented, at least it's usually faster on Linux
(compared to Mac OS X connecting to the same Linux-VNC-Server).
But this might have other reasons, I am not seeing at the moment.
Jason already told me that you are also toying with the though of
connecting it to Core Graphics yourself.
Just wanted to free and reassign that backhead space.
