#230 Nothing But a White Screen

I'm trying to connect from a g3 ibook running 10.3.9 to control a Dual g4/450 running 10.4 with anything. I've tried ScreenRecycler, Vine or osxvnc as the servers. I've installed all the latest security updates on all the systems -- but I can't get anything but a white screen.

The ibook finds the g4 on the network and seems to connect just fine, but will only display a white screen (with a mouse pointer that mouses around) on the ibook.

The problem happens only in Fullscreen mode. Otherwise -- nothing happens at all -- I never leave the g3's desktop, no window pops up, nothing.

I've got the display control panel set up identically on both machines.

I need this to work, but a google search for troubleshooting Chicken of the VNC leaves me with the impression that the white screen seems to be something heretofore unheard of. What the hell is going on?
