Yes, we agree that CottageMed remains one of the pre-eminent introductory EMR's for beginning practices with its low overhead and rapid ease of use. It is not competitive, nor are most EMR's, on the insurance billing and reimbursement side of things where an Athena Clinicals approach of large teams and large-scale contextual programming produce much better returns with a tolerably easy interface design. The chiropractic layout in CottageMed is simply one version of many potential versions which a DO asked us to install for him. We can guide others through some of the simpler processes for using and adapting CottageMed to their needs.
