I wad thinking more towards the content managment end and to the forums I have. I will need some feature requests for the content management and just some hard core coders for the conversion of the forums. I sent out the email blast today in hopes of getting those who are serious in here to help and those that aren't to take themselves off so I know who to ask for help.

I was looking at the code this weekend and I agree it needs to be fusedoc'd first.
Also, is there going to be an admin tool for adding websites to the content management system? didn't see that in the code I received from Robert.

Yes there will. I am also going to make a query in the beginning which will look to see if a url variable of siteid was passed, if it wasn't it will query the table sites with the cgi.HTTP_HOST and look up the siteid. The layout files will be named something like display#siteid#.cfm . This way you could have a ton of different websites all sitting in the same place. Would you like to do the fusedoc?

Joel informed me that he is nearly complete with fusedocing. We could still use some people who will volunteer for coding. I can set up some tasks for people to do once I have people who want to code. Also need to people to recomend some features.

I could use you to mess with the display section. How to choose the sites from the site table and display the layout file associated with that siteid. And if there is no layout that exists to display a default page. Joel never told me he was fusedocing, he wrote me an email to tell me he is almost done. I can't assign tasks. I think users are supposed to make up thier own tasks.

sounds like fun! Will get back to you with a ton of questions, though, the minute I have my development system working again.
... You hear from me soon:-)
Guess there are all kinds of people in the crew, ie. those who pick their tasks and those you need to be told what to do. All depends on so many things that in only helps, to roll with the punches and find out what kind of person everybody and you are in top of the things.
But remember one step at a time:-))

Actually I found out how to do it, I have to add them under Tracker. So i will make that job up for editing the display files and assign it to you. Also I am cleaning house with all the developers. So if you're a developer and you come back here and want to do some coding shoot me an email or post here and I'll add you and assign you a task.

I need some ideas for tasks that I should have. I know I need someone to suggest some features, then I will need people to help code those features.
a totally unsorted pool of thoughts
- Fusedoc 2.0 every fuse
- substitute the hardcoded link into xfas.
- separate layout from data
- list the features to be added or that are not yet finished.
- ask the developers what they like to do coding, designing, architecting, documenting, power testing, peer reviewing .......
hope this triggeres some ideas...
could you be more specific...or perhaps provide a list of what you had in mind and I would be happy to extend...

I could do some coding and I am on standby for some tasks:-))
Seems we are getting somewhere! Thanks to Joel and who else is doing some work behind the scenes.
maybe someone compiles a list who is doing what on this project:-))
Take care
