#4 Ping address before connection to confirm device up.

Hi, we have made a similar script with less features. One of our features that we like is that the script sends 2 pings to each address before attempting to log into it. It also try's both ssh and Telnet protocols to each connection. This allows us to work from a list of devices, some of which may be offline, some of which may be telnet. Without these features I am finding your script difficult to use as it keeps stopping. I can share the relavant parts of our script if you wish to add them to yours.
