Gate is a framework for java applications to create web services (or application services) via several protocols including rest, gwt rpc, jsonrpc. Service declarations can be done with annotations or xml declarations or programmaticaly. The framework supports built in registry, call interceptors, security, caching and memory sharing. Services are just POJOs. It also simple to integrate of other component types such as Spring, EJB, Webservices.
