In order to facilitate an abstract persist framework, the infrastructure which captures the idea of schemas and concepts must be provided. Schemas can be used to describe a partitioning of knowledge, or domains, and therefore accessed via other framework services. The expression of the knowledge is in the form of concepts, which represent the extents of the individuals, much the way a C++ class expresses the extent of all it's object instances. -- Frank V.
