Yes, now that you have us doing debian packages and pdf/dvi the scale that my machine can't handle, we are beholden to you to return so that we can package CoreLinux++. <grin> Seriously, once Han works out the wrinkles in EventSemaphore we are going to release at least the 0.4.28 tar ball and rpm and dev-rpm. I have no choices. (Unless Hans has no problems creating the debian and rpm-doc) And yes, we miss you too. BTW: Just finished House Atreides (prequel to Dune), and I am impressed. Hans, No prob with the debian or rpm builds. As I said, I am willing to just post tar.gz and the rpm base and dev packages for the short-term. But, we obviously are on the spot with docs and debian. I tried again and nothing related to corelinux was found
even
after I did 'find /usr/src/redhat -name \*.rpm'.
But I found the following
/usr/src/redhat/SOURCES/libcorelinux-0.4.28.tar.gz
/usr/src/redhat/BUILD/libcorelinux-0.4.28/{a lot of files
bur RPMs .....}

Right, which means the build failed and why should be indicated in the
rpmlog.txt if you did the redirection of stdout and stderr.
I assume that you have doxygen installed?

Yes, doxygen-1.2.1-20000829.
I just checked in my fix to bugs 113982, 113983, and 113985.
The ex22 sample code now runs ok. The source of these bugs
were found
in EventSemaphoreGroup and EventSemaphore. In ESG, counter
in theUsedMap
was decremented twice causing premature call to delete
operator.
In ES, the bug was subtle. If you remember in our exchange
of e-mails
in Auguest, I initially proposed to implement "hold"
operation as SetValue (1),
"wait" as Z(s), and "trigger/signal" operation as P(s), but
then I changed it to:
"hold" as setValue (-1) and trigger as V(s).
Apparently, setValue (-1) is not a valid semctl SETVAL
operation. So I reverted the
implementation to my initial approach [setValue (1) and
trigger as P(s)].
Now for bug 113984: you mention that the indentation level
is 4, but I think that
C++ coding standard mentions an indentation level of 3.

You are correct, I think I was refering to the level of
indentation...will have to look at the original defect.
Great to hear you got those more important ones though. What do you use
for a debugger? I was using DDD with appropriate gdb level for thread
handling but I was never able to break-point on a threads execution.

So, I gave up using ddd and just used the most traditional debugger in the universe, the 'cerr<<' "debugger" :-). When fixing those three bugs, I had to put several 'cerr <<' in other files too: AbstractSemaphore.cpp, SemaphoreCommon.cpp in order to find out that SETVAL -1 wasthe intervening operation. > > -- > Frank V.
