Congratulations on a useful utility. Just a few typos.... http://sourceforge.net/p/core2usb/wiki/Home/ Heading should be "Introduction" On the opening screen of the installer there is "targer" rather than "target" on the bottom line. Regards David |

Hi, according to your info installation is OK, but Tiny Core did not recognized the USB stick and didn't fint tce directory on the stick. You need to add waitusb=5 boot option in the menu you have selected. If you have a basic TC system up with console, check 6ce directory as below: Symlink must point to the tce directory on the stick. When stick not recognized, it points to /tmp Let me know the result. Regards... I could use some advice. Using core2usb for first time. Used ver 1.6 with TC 4.6 . The CorePlus .iso and the md5.txt files were in the same folder on a Win2K box as core2usb. No apparent problems with install. When used to boot a different box which is setup to check for USB boot first, a pageful of optional boots appears, starting with "CorePlus with default flwm" and including a wide range down to core only. The menu seems to work properly, giving descriptions at the foot when a menu item is highlighted. Whether I choose the top item, or any other, I get the same eventual result : tc@box:~$ ; that is, a prompt. Some of the options explicitly offer X/GUI - choosing any of these gets the same result as above. The USB drive has two directories : boot and tce (IIRC) Is this what I should have, rather than the TC GUI ? If yes, what do I do next to get to the GUI ? If no, what do I need to do differently when creating the bootable USB ? Thanks, in anticipation of any easy resolution. |
