I wasn't sure how well big sizes would be handled by the TIFF format and
the programs using it, but I have now removed the restrictions.
As for XaoS, it happens to be on my list as well, and I started coding the
import for .xpf files. Unfortunately, XaoS has quite a large feature set, so
the import will be incomplete for some time to come. Animations are not
on the near-future list at all, sorry.

I'm working with buddhabrot fractals and I need a way to render only the
particles that took x number of iterations to escape. For example, if I could
specify that I only want particles that took between 5,000 and 50,000
iterations to escape - that would be great. As it stands now I get too much
"snow" from early escaping particles to render what I'm truly interested in. I
can remove snow with later image processing, but I've got no way of knowing
exactly what I'm removing. Being able to specify a single range of escape
values would be great. Even better would be being able to specify a number
of ranges. >5k and <7k plus >10k and <18k.
This is a great program, but I'll have to obsessed with looking for another
until I can figure out how to do what I want with this. Thanks.
