Very nervously downloaded, virus scanned many times, created a restore point, had a PC backup already done. There is no source code to inspect, so need to be very cautious. Tried the 'Portable' Beta version from a USB drive, after fully disconnecting from the internet. Very easy to use as advertised. It took a while but did convert a 146 page PDF into a very usable word doc complete with pictures text in both English and Chinese which I opened in LibreOffice. At the end of the doc is this message: "Created by the trial version of PDF Focus .NET 6.9.7.6! The trial version inserts 'trial' into random places. Get the full version of PDF Focus .NET". I did search and found one instance of 'Trial' in the doc which seemed to replace the word 'whish'. SO a bit concerned …. is this a true open source project?
