#42 analyze and possibly improve run-time performances

Currently there are extra functions for pre, post, etc and also for subcontracting pre, post, etc. Do these extra function affect compile-time? Do they affect run-time? If so (not sure yet), could these extra function be combined so I have no additional extra functions for subcontracting?

--> I should do an analysis of compile-time (and run-time) performance before I start trying to fix this.
