Category: Search functionality Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 7 Private: No Submitted By: Marco Meschieri (car031) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Concurrent writes corrupt Lucene index Initial Comment: We stressed a Contineo installation with automated tests. These tests revealed that the application doesn't synchronize write accesses to the Lucene index. For example document adds, document deletions or index optimizations can be executed at the same time. When such situations occur the search index is left inconsistent. Lucene ties to avoid such synchronization problems by using file-system locks, but after our tests we think thad on a heavy load this mechanism may fail. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Marco Meschieri (car031) Date: 2007-01-31 11:54 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1657430 Originator: YES Issue fixed in the trunk. The Intexer class now is a singleton loaded by Spring and all its methods are synchronized. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=586478&aid=1648698&group_id=88385 |
