Replace your b139 console.exe with this one, see if it fixes the painting problem with ClearType on.

    Hi Marko,

Good news (I guess). It still doesn't work with ClearType on, color depth 32bit. However, it DOES work if I set my desktop on 16bit color depth. I did the following:

    1) Started console (32bit depth) (btw, alpha transparency and color key do work in this mode, it's just that the text is not visible)

    2) Changed the color depth to 16 bit. The Console remains the same (text is still invisible)

    3) Go to Console settings, change the appearance from None to Alpha (or the other way around, doesn't matter). The text magically appears!

    4) Change to 32bit depth again. Text is still visible (I would expect that); however, if we change the appearance again, text disappears.

So your guess was right, it is color depth related.

    Cheers,
    Laurentiu
