Sometimes it happens that, by accident, I close a tab, or the whole Console2 application. This is annoying if I have an application running where it is important that it doesn't get killed.
Hence suggestion for a new feature:
- Extend the settings for a Tab (Edit/Settings/Tab) by a checkbox "Ask for confirmation when closing". If the user closes a tab using the "close tab" button, he is asked for confirmation first, if this check has been set.
- If the Console2 application is to be terminated, and at least one of the tabs has "Ask for confirmation" checked, the user is asked for confirmation before Console terminates.
Please submit this as a feature request.
Having the "Ask for confirmation when closing" option in the 'Settings' is going to be a half-measure, I am afraid.
I actually have a different proposal, let's do this the way nearly every web browser handles recently closed tabs, namely let's add a button (or a hotkey) that allows to restore the most recently closed tab(s).
That is going to be a truly useful feature.

Different to a browser, closing a tab would kill the application which is running right now. How are you going to restore *this*????
