Hi Kieren, I'm responsible for all aspects of Connotea, so I will step up next. Thanks for the feedback. I've read through all of the ongoing discussion, so I'll just give a short overview of where we are at the moment and where we want to be going, then I will reply to some specific points. We are still somewhat in a state of transition as I took over this project earlier this year. We are also transitioning from CVS to darcs in a hope that this will make maintaining development easier for us. I would say that it is a fair comment to point out that our focus has strongly been on the user rather than the developer, however I recognize that the long term health of the project is dependant upon developers being able to work on this with us for aspects of the service that they would like to see extended or improved. We are in discussion with a number of people who are interested in principle in taking on some work with an eye to extending the feature set of connotea. This is important for us and that we have to right type of system in place to support this is important for me. We have not had a new release of the codebase for about a year, and my first priority to get the updated version out, and then to augment this with example code and documentation. I hope that point we can take stock and see what other more critical changes might need to take place. So that's kind of our current state. >> >> Thanks for your email. I can say that something like this is not going to happen soonish, but as you intimated in a later mail if you wanted to prove the possibility in principle we would have a serious look at that.
