Every time you minimize the "Connex Visual Manager has been minimized to the tray..." message appears, this should only happen the first time you minimize the application not every time.
We could easily change that. We sort of shaped our application to fit the standard of "the user is dumb" so that our teacher would be able to know that what happened was intended functionality.
I would like to further our development on Connex but we are still not sure if anyone will pick up this project as a senior project to finish developing it. Your three suggestions are really good though to make usability easier.
