#716 Processing email requests


Suppose the following situation:

-I have ~150 business partners with contact email adresses
-Business partners send emails containing requests,
questions and so on
-Business partners make calls to pose question
-I have an IMAP server where the emails are stored

My question:
Is Compiere able to access this IMAP server, fetch
those emails corresponding to the stored email
addresses of my business partners, and display and
store them for further processing? How can I note
incoming calls from business partners?
If this is possible: how do I achieve this? Which
concrete steps are necessary?

    This is our objective. Due to priorities, readung/loading from
    IMAP store has not been implemented yet (sponsoring
    changes priorities ;-).
    - read new items in IMAP folder (existing function)
    - analyse mail content and create new request or if it was in
    reference to a request update the existing request
    - mark the mail as read and move the mail item into a
    different "readItems" IMAP folder

    *** Status set to PENDING *** If the issue solved, please CLOSE
    this request - otherwise set the status back to OPEN (we only
    check OPEN items). If there is no reaction within a week, the
    system will automatically CLOSE it. To speed up response time,
    you may want to consider a support agreement.
