After a fresh install of Compiere 2.6.0a on Windows XP Professional and Oracle XE, immediatelly after RUN_ImportCompiere.bat if you run RUN_DBExport.bat followed by a RUN_DBRestore.sh you will notice that several errors on the DB Restore.

One of the errors I have noticed is that all the functions are created as Java.

Just to be very clear, after the RUN_ImportCompiere.bat everything works fine, all the DB objects are OK and you can login in and use the system normally.

Without changing one single thing, simply running the Export and the Restore process the DB presents several errors.

The requested functionality does not exist (yet). We would
appreciate, if you would help to provide this functionality -
from writing specs, development, testing and not to forget
    documentation. Please contact us.

This error happens with me too. Before export the functions are in PL/SQL language, after DBExport / DBRestore the functions are changed to java.

Below you will find the scripts needed for the restore.

    http://www.virtus.srv.br/arquivos/RestoreXE.rar

    Save RUN_DBRestoreXE.bat into %COMPIERE_HOME%\utils and DBRestoreXE.bat into %COMPIERE_HOME%\utils\oracle

You can continue to use RUN_DBExport normally, the only difference is that you should use RUN_DBRestoreXE for restores instead of RUN_DBRestore to avoid the (re)creation of the functions as Java.

    Hope it helps

I have installed the XE version of RUN_DBRestoreXE.bat and the associated bat file and run the restore from a database exported from Oracle 10g and get a number of errors where views do not compile. Some views compile but a substantial number do not.

Can anyone provide assistance with this?

    Regards...
