Expansion of Compiere

We just announced the addition of 4 new people to the Compiere management team. The SourceForge community might be particularly interested in our recent hire of Sunny Gosain as VP in charge of product development and support. We also opened our European office led by Yves Sandfort, longtime Compiere partner and frequent contributor to these forums. We also hired additional sales support for the Americas region and a marketing director. All of the details are in the press release below.

Press Release:
Santa Clara, California – April 16, 2007 – Compiere, Inc., the leading provider of open source business applications, today announced the opening of a new subsidiary, Germany-based Compiere EMEA GmbH, to serve the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) markets, along with the appointment of four key executives. The announcement comes as the company experiences strong global demand for adaptable open source enterprise applications backed by a reliable vendor and local service delivery. Today's appointments include Yves Sandfort, general manager of Compiere EMEA GmbH; Kyle Rosier, director of sales for the Americas; Hemant 'Sunny' Gosain, vice president of development and customer support; and Bill Freedman, director of marketing.

"The new management team and subsidiary demonstrate Compiere's commitment to accelerating product development and expanding its global customer service and sales capabilities," stated Don Klaiss, president and CEO of Compiere. "I am pleased that Compiere is attracting the best enterprise software talent to our organization. We are fortunate to have these four experienced executives focused on addressing the ERP needs of our customers in industries ranging from wholesale trade to manufacturing."

From offices in Germany, Compiere EMEA GmbH will focus on sales, support and solution delivery for Compiere's channel partners and customers throughout the EMEA region. The company has assembled a robust ecosystem of partners to provide sales and services to Compiere users, including more than 20 authorized partners within the company's EMEA partner network. As general manager of Compiere EMEA, Yves Sandfort will lead efforts to further increase Compiere's reach and the productivity of its partner network across the region.

Kyle Rosier serves as Sandfort's counterpart for the Americas region. As director of sales for the Americas, Rosier will oversee channel activities and lead direct sales in the Americas from Compiere's California-based headquarters.

As vice president of development and customer support, Sunny Gosain has global responsibility for product development, customer support and information technology. Most recently, Gosain served as a vice president in Oracle Corporation's Applications division, where he was responsible for introducing new product lines for supply chain management and asset management. Bill Freedman rounds out the expanded management team as director of marketing. Freedman will lead outbound marketing efforts globally, including lead generation programs, positioning and branding, media and industry analyst relations and e-marketing.

Sandfort, Rosier, Gosain and Freedman join Compiere's newly appointed president and CEO, Don Klaiss, and founders Jorg Janke and Kathy Pink, creating a diverse management team with strong experience in building enterprise software businesses.
