I would like to announce the avaibility of pgAdmin3, PostgreSQL GUI for Linux/Win32/FreeBSD/MacOsX which can be downloaded from http://www.pgadmin.org.
pgAdmin is available in 31 languages and supports all PostgreSQL server-side languages.
If you reorganise the server-side code, there should be no reason to use sub-transactions.
Then, why not port Compiere to PostgreSQL? PostgreSQL is the fastest growing database project. It supports srong replication from 7.4 onwards.
In the past, your porting project was based on re-writting PL code on the fly. Maybe it can be done differently.
Any ideas and comments?
Best regards, Jean-Michel Pour
this is not a marketing plattform! Please don't post marketing articles again and again on every question.
What you are doing is not helping us discuss Database independence, what you are doing is doing marketing for pgadmin. This is not what is wanted in the forum.
We wanna have technical discussions, not marketing. Otherwise we could also start to spam your mailinglists with productinfos which didn't belong there!
Err... try to tone things down a bit eh?
The message isn't really coming across in very positive terms.
Regards and best wishes,
