I would like to know more about virtual columns in compiere. I didn't seen them, moreover, I don't know how to implement new virtual column.
Thanks In advance.
Try looking at that. It is a dynamic column only accessable in the application. In oracle it is blank.....
for virtual columns.
You can create a column that is a virtual column that will multiply the qty entered by the price from the sales order or PO.
That will solve your problem in the Shipment Window.
Then if you want to add it to the "printed" document you will have to modify the print format view. I think it is something like M_INOUT_HEADER_V or something similar to that. Just add in the column there with the calculations pulling the price from the C_ORDER_LINE table.
I think that will work. Otherwise i think you need to code a java callout (I have never done) to write to the database in a column you create.
Alot of times I have found that virtual columns and print formats will accomplish alot of what you want without changin code.
