Running Compiere 2.5.1c on Oracle 9iR2 on a Windows environment. Java version 1.4.2.
I'm finding that keyboard shortcuts for saving (Ctrl-S) and new item (Ctrl-N) are not always working. I can create one new item but cannot save and create a second new item.
Ideas (as I find mice a hinderance in large scale data entry)
Press Ctrl^S, Ctrl^S, Ctrl^N, to get it right. I had the same problem on my first client. I even device a sheet to show them all the keystrokes.
Do u know that F2 is Ctrl^N and F4 is Ctrl^S?
So it can be F4, F4, F2. Easier on the fingers.
I have the same problem, pressing Ctrl^S, Ctrl^S, Ctrl^N does not solve it for me :(
I posted the problem some months ago:
Searching among the bugs this behavior was cathegorized as "Swing bug" a while ago. (see references)
Does that implies is a bug of "java swing" or is it a bug Compire's swing UI ?
I'm using both j2sdk1.4.2_05 and j2sdk1.4.2_04 with the same results, also windows (XP/2000) and linux.
I would appreciate any comments.
