i followed all the steps given in compiere website , i completed those steps , when i am relogin into the application , that language is not displaying in the language dropdown ,Please tell me the steps for proceeding ....
Thanks in advance
The languages that display in the language dropdown do not come from the database, since you do not have a database connection before you login. Therefore, if you want to add access to a language that is not appearing in the dropdown, you need to change the appropriate java classes. The details are on the Compiere website:
when iam starting work on translation at that time , it was displaying , but when i followed those document and copied that tranlation folder .. .
first i copied that folder D:\javadev\Compiere2\fr_FR
2)Log in to Compiere with the System Administrator Role. In the "Language" Window , i searched for french language , and then enabled the "System Language" and start Language Maintenance. Selected "Add missing Translations".
3)Log into Compiere with the System Administrator Role. In the "Translation Import/Export" Window leave the "Table" selections empty and i selected language french. Clicked on "Import" and selected the directory like D:\javadev\Compiere2\fr_FR.
after that i log in to the system , that language means french is not dispalyed in the language drop down ...
let me anything , am i missing any steps ? Please tell me ..
Thanks in advance
French is one of the languages that is supported by the Java classes used for login. Once you enable it as a System language and install the language pack, you should be able to see French translations in the application when you choose the language=Français at login. You can see on the Compiere Demo site (http://open.compiere.com/apps/Compiere.html) that changing the language at login will automatically change the login prompts.
