Sun binds the combination Shift+Insert to Paste under Windows look and feel. Compiere ignores the combination, as well as Shift+Delete and Ctrl+Insert. If you ask me, this is a real pain in the ass.

Verified. Shift+Ins, Shift+Del, Ctrl+Ins don't work.
However Ctrl+C, Ctrl+X, Ctrl+V work fine.
This post suggests this is a regression in JDK 1.5, but it was fixed in 1.6
