[Comparametric-info] How to convert: DV -> datfile ?

Hi,
I am trying to figure out how to convert a DV video file into a datfile so I
can process it with Video Orbits.  I can't find any information about
datfiles other than what the Video Orbits README says:
"The program accepts pgm image files and movie files in MIT "DAT"
datfile form.  The DAT file format is essentially a raw data file with
an ascii text descriptor file both in a single directory."

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.
