Initial release

Hi there,
Niall O'Higgins here just announcing the first public release of the latest Commune Server sources. The sources are really just for developers who want to take a look at the code. The server is far from functional; much work needs to be done. I have pretty much finished the Administration Server, which is pretty cool (I think anyway). The basic OOP architecture of the program has also been done, although I admit there are still some things to be worked out. Plugin support has been implemented in a basic form; I'm not sure when I'll be really working on this aspect as currently I'm working on the Java 2 Client and on the actual implementation of CIP (Commune Interaction Protocol). When the specs of CIP have been finalised I will post them here; as of now they aren't finished.
The client is being written in Java 2 SE with Swing for the GUI. I have only really just started to design the GUI, but I am making some progress.
I hope to have plugin support for the client soon and some wrappers to allow cb64 (A java Commadore 64 emulator) and other Java programs to run within it.

Anyway, not many people are going to read this I suspect, but if you are interested in what I'm doing don't hesitate to contact me. You can mail me at commune@users.sourceforge.com or niallohiggins@mindless.com. Bye now!
