Thought River Commons 2005.05.30 Released

The Thought River Commons is a Java collection of utilities and other nifty code items developed by Thought River North and Thought River South for use in internal projects, and made available for free, open public use. It features classes for working with XML, networking, metadata, physics simulations, and for creating self-healing software, among many other things.

This release contains lots of features and cleanup of the Commons. Some of the oldest deprecated package versions have been removed, and a brand new package for working with graphs (nodes and edges) has been introduced.... read more

Thought River Commons 2005.03.15 Released

The Thought River Commons is a Java collection of utilities and other nifty code items developed by Thought River North and Thought River South for use in internal projects, and made available for free, open public use. It features classes for working with XML, networking, metadata, physics simulations, and for creating self-healing software, among many other things.

This is the first release in quite some time, and it's packed with new features. An entire physics package has been added, as well as a cool new event bus system. There's a new utility class for displaying splash screens, and the new PropertySet class allows any object to be viewed and manipulated like a simple value map, complete with PropertyChangeEvents!... read more

This is a feature-packed release of the Thought River Commons! We have added 4 new subpackages, and an assortment of new classes. This release also represents a change over to our new "versioned package" system, which enables code to be built on the Commons without fear of future updates causing incompatibilities.... read more

Thought River Commons 2004.03.31 Released

The Thought River Commons is a Java collection of utilities and other nifty code items developed by Thought River North and Thought River South for use in internal projects, and made available for free, open public use. It features classes for working with XML, JAXB, and for creating self-healing software, among other things.

This release of the Thought River Commons represents a substantial bit of cleanup and reorganization. The two "feature items" of the release are the new BigManager class that assists in working with the BigInteger and BigDecimal classes, and the complete removal of all JAXB-related code into a different release package. This means a developer can now easily compile the entire JAXB-free Commons without having to link to the JWSDP or JAXB packages provided by Sun. ... read more

Thought River Commons 2004.02.09 Released

The Thought River Commons is a Java collection of utilities and other nifty code items developed by Thought River North and Thought River South for use in internal projects, and made available for free, open public use. It features classes for working with XML, JAXB, and for creating self-healing software, among other things.

This is the first Full Release version of the Thought River Commons (that is, the first non-Beta), and features several important changes. First and foremost, the library is now licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL) rather than the Reciprocal Public License (RPL). Several code quality improvements have been made, and a few bugs have been fixed. Users of the Commons should consider this release a "must have". ... read more
