A feature extremely valuable for when I'm
reading/translating raw Japanese manga scans would be
support for annotations, ie. small translucent boxes
with associated comments, suitable for translation of
speech bubbles, coupled with ability to export that
data for a series of files in some sane format.

See http://danbooru.donmai.us/post/view/44017 for an
example of what I mean.

    Hi,

that is an entirely new concept for me, very smart though.
I'm not sure how to best implement this, but it should be
possible somehow. Is there any standard format for these
kind of things so that files can be transferred between
programs without drawing it directly on an image, or is that
    unnecessary?

Possibly it should be merged in future into a new CB format
discussed in the other thread. All comic meta-data and
annotations should be embedded into a file and we _need_ a
good and working standard for handling such.
