Whenever I try opening them, it shows that a Comical window is open, but when I hover my mouse over the Taskbar symbol (Windows 7), it shows only the name, and shows the Desktop if I keep my Cursor on it. I also tested it on some old .cbr's that I read before (quite a few times), and it didn't work with them aswell. Help?
I will test Comical on Windows 7 as well as Windows XP for the next release. A quick question - are you using 64-bit or 32-bit Windows?
I'm having the same issue. I'm running 64-bit Windows 7, and Comical 0.8 worked absolutely fine until last night. My computer automatically downloaded an update and restarted in the night and now Comical is doing precisely what lakerking008 described. This issue persisted through an uninstall/reinstall of v0.8.
That'd be 32 bit.
64 bit, same problem
Apparently for some reason it Restore Down'd itself and moved itself off the screen. Can be fixed by clicking the icon in the task bar pressing alt+space clicking move then using the arrow keys to move it back.
Im using an tablet with Windows 7 (32-bit) and maybe having a similar problem. I notice that the Comical opens the document, but I cant view the window. Could not find a way to move the window so as to view the document...
I had the exact same problem with Comical not displaying or opening the comics. They appeared to be minimized and wouldn't maximize, and reinstalling didn't fix it. I DID manage to fix the problem, though. Here's the solution that worked for me. I am using Windows 7 64-bit.
Voila! Your Comical window should show up, and any future comics you open will show up fine. If the problem happens again in the future, just repeat these steps.
Thanks guys, me and my GF where having the same problem on a Win7 64bit pc. Win-[arrow] did the trick. this still keeps happening when you switch apps in one way or another so I believe its still something worth investication. something about active frame and focus?
