#28 Issues with com0com driver installation on Windows 10 with Secure Boot enabled

Following this post, I'm experiencing issues installing com0com on Windows 10 with Secure Boot enabled. I've tried multiple approaches to install the driver but consistently encounter driver signature verification failures.

Steps taken so far:

1. Attempted to install the official com0com 3.0.0.0 package
2. Successfully added the driver using pnputil: pnputil /add-driver com0com.inf /install
3. Successfully installed devices via devcon: devcon install "com0com.inf" "root\com0com"
4. Created virtual port pairs (COM20 <-> COM21) using setupc.exe

Current status:

• Devices appear in Device Manager but show error state (Error Code 577)
• The com0com service fails to start with error: "Windows cannot verify the digital signature for this file"
• Event logs confirm the signature verification failure
• Get-PnpDevice shows all com0com devices in "Error" state

System details:

• Windows 10 (latest updates installed)
• Secure Boot is enabled
• BitLocker is active

I've read through forum posts suggesting Simon Harston's signed version at http://radio.jsh.de/com0com.zip but I haven't tried it yet. I'm looking for an official solution that works with Secure Boot enabled without disabling this security feature.

Is there an officially signed version available, or are there plans to address these signature issues in a future release?
