[Com0com-user] Using large numbers of ports

Hi,

I have used com0com to connect a couple of ports together and it works 
OK for this. Now I am wondering what happens if I use a large number of 
ports. I know com0com is used for t38modem on Windows machines, so I 
assume people do set up hundreds of com0com ports for some applications. 
How good is the performance? How much hassle is it to install and set up 
a lot (e.g. >100) of ports? Even setting up just a couple of ports it 
takes quite a time, as Windows goes through its scan for device drivers 
separately for each port.
