#6 No context menu when right-clicking on password in KeePass 'Edit Entry' window

Hi

Thanks for this plug-in. I find it very useful indeed.

When I open the Edit Entry window in KeePass without ColoredPassword installed, there is a context menu available when I highlight the password. This is present both when the password is hidden and revealed. The revealed password includes some items that are greyed out on the hidden password.

However when ColoredPassword is installed this context menu is available on the hidden password but suppressed entirely on the revealed password. Is this intentional and what is the purpose? I can't figure out any need to eliminate the context menu and I would find it useful if it were still available.

Other than that, great work, and I still use the plug-in everyday.

thanks for your feedback!

The context menu is not suppressed on purpose. To show different colors the plugin has to replace the standard textbox with a so called RichTextBox and this is done only when displaying the password.
A RichTextBox does not have a context menu, this has to be added by hand.

I assume you're mainly missing cut, copy and paste and will build a new version of the plugin that contains a basic context menu.
This context menu will definitely look different than the OS' default context menu for textboxes

You can usethe default keyboard shurtcuts for that meanwhile: Ctrl+X, Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V

I didn't appreciate the technical reasons behind the issue. The absence of the context menu had me speculating whether this was a 'feature' I didn't understand correctly! If the choice is to provide coloured text or a context menu, I'll take coloured text every time. Your assumption about copy, paste etc is correct and I've already been in the habit of using Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V where necessary. This is not a showstopper so please don't rank any workaround as a high-priority issue. I can happily continue now I understand the reason.
