Greetings!
I started this soundfont formerly named "DAWNS" back in late 2019 as a cherry-picked mashup of my favorite soundfont presets. Over time, I began noticing what many “mainstream” soundfonts were missing and worked to connect the dots, adding new instruments and sounds to give it a distinct, playful, and local flavor.
ColomboGMGS2 supports GM2/GS and Yamaha XG drum mappings within a single SF2 file, covering all key melodic presets and SFX, along with a few fresh additions like Gatabera, Raban, Trap Kit, Reggae Kit, and more.
Apart from a few instruments I recorded myself, most samples come from famous soundfont creators such as Maxime Abbey (Arachno), David Shan (SGM), Cose Vidal (Musyng), OpenWrld (Chorium), and Rick Simon (OmegaGMGS2).
The active development of ColomboGMGS2 is driven by my perfectionist side and I’m thankful to everyone who’s used, supported, and shared feedback on ColomboGMGS2. You’ve all helped it grow into what it is today.
